February-11-09, 7:29:37 AM Setting of the Full Moon from Cedar Creek Park
This is an Infrared Image. One segment of the moon already dives into the clouds above the Westside Mountains!
Despite using an inferior lens, those pictures turned out quite good - no haze in the air at all!
Look at the difference at night and in the morning!
Amazing- for our naked eye the Full Moon appears always similar!
My best lens destroyed! I had to take those pictures with a different gear!
February-08-09, 5:37:22PM 15min later, this lens was destroyed|: A car ran straight through my tripod, the 4kg lens smashed the windshield, for God's sake nobody got hurt!
I tried to create the impression: The Full Moon rests in the tree like in the palm of a hand...
NEED TO GET SOME GEAR SOON TO GET THE PICTURES TOGETHER FOR THE EXHIBITION - WE GOT 2 GREAT HORNY OWLS HERE WITH A DESIRE FOR A PASSPORT PHOTO!
Full Moon in 2 days - Rain forecast, so I took the picture already today. Looks, like it escaped the SuperBowl! There was light haze, which greatly iinfluenced the image quality!

Stealth Hunting - That describes best, how Red-Tail Hawks get their prey:
The hawk watches – his eyesight is 7x better than a human’s eye – in the top part of a tree for a prospective victim. Once the prey is spotted, the hawk quietly launches itself into the air, dives straight down picking QUIETLY up tremendous air speed and makes a strike before the quarry reaches cover.
Did you know: When you hear an eagle or hawk in a movie, the raspy cry of the Red-tailed Hawk is used for it!

In January, this apricot tree decided to grow icicles! Beautiful colors when sun hits the ice!

When I go "shooting", I prefer to be on a bike, you just see more than in a car. It had minus 15 Celsius,
but the beautiful colors of the Okanagan more than compensate you! Visiting Cedar Creek Estate Winery, I transformed 2 of the pictures to Paintings later:

I managed to create this amazing picture, expressing not only the Transition of power from
Bush to Obama Administration, but also Transition of the Spirit Obama created to the White House and the crowd attending the Inauguration.
Let us all hope, it will be a Transition that manages to re-establish Western Values throughout the world and brings the US back as a leader to protect those values!

I just finished the 12x18 print and am really stunned how beautiful it came out.
Therefore, I played a bit more with this file in Paintshop Pro, see Gallery!
You can see, that even in this "colorless" time of the year you can get good results.
